Hala Abi Saleh, a PhD candidate at the Catholic University of Louvain (Université Catholique de Louvain), specializes in the foreign policies of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Through the lens of middle power theory, her doctoral research analyzes these policies and explores their impact on the regional and international orders of the Middle East. Beyond academia, Hala brings over 10 years of valuable experience working with Lebanese NGOs, coordinating regional and national research projects. Her research interests lie in critical theories of International Relations and interpretive research methods. Her publications address a variety of critical Middle Eastern issues, including gender equality, feminist foreign policy, oil governance, and the wartime experiences of women in the region.
