
Dr. Tytti Erästö is a Senior Researcher at the Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) programme of the Stockholm Peace Research Institute’s (SIPRI). Her research focuses on nuclear disarmament and nonproliferation issues, including multilateral frameworks such as the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and themes such as the role of nuclear weapons in military alliances, regional arms control and disarmament (Middle East and the Korean peninsula), strategic stability dynamics among nuclear-armed states, and other issues related to nuclear arms control.
