Yara Ahmed is the Managing Editor and Political Research at Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS), an Abu Dhabi-based think tank, where she gained more than five years of experience in policy-oriented research. Her research interest is Gulf–European relations. In her previous role, Yara worked with the United Nations Program on HIV/ Aids and HIV (UNAIDS) office in Cairo, during which she promoted rights to healthcare and factors influencing women’s vulnerabilities to HIV.
Academically, Yara holds an MSc. in Public Policy from University College London and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a specialization in International Law from the American University in Cairo.
